Larantuka is a subdistrict of East Flores Regency, on the eastern end of Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The town is a quaint little seaport nestled at the base of a hill, with views to the nearby islands of Solor, Adonara and Lembata.
The most famous tourist attraction in Flores is Kelimutu, a volcano containing three colored lakes, located in the district of Ende close to the town of Moni. There are snorkelling and diving locations along the north coast of Flores, most notably Maumere and Riung. Larantuka is known for its Holy Week festivals.
