Camarones is a sleepy coastal village located in Chabut province in Argentine Patagonia. Situated only 252 km. from Trelew and 242 km. from Comodoro Rivadavia, Camarones lies on the shore of the Homonimous Bay and has a small fishing port.

Camarones boasts a variety and density of amazing animals and plants. Of particular note are the penguin colonies at Cobo Dos Bahias nature reserve. Its coasts and fjords are full of marine life for lovers of diving and fishing.

Port Location – There is a small fishing port at Camarones.

Transport Links – Camarones can be accessed from Trelew airport which has regular flights to/from Buenos Aires and El Calafate. There is also an airport at Comodoro Rivadavia.

Regular long distance buses run several times a day to Buenos Aires, and to many locations in the Santa Cruz Province. Short range buses to towns in Chubut run at least once a day. There are also daily summer buses on the route #25.
