hroud Cay is the northern most island in Exumas Land and Sea Park 35 miles southeast of Nassau.
An uninhibited cay, it is an a archipelago of cays and rocks surrounding a shallow tidal mangrove Salina which serves as a unique nursery for conch, lobster, sea turtles, birds and many varieties of fish.
This beautiful island is home to rare while-tailed birds that nest in the nooks of the limestone rocks. Wax Cut Drift Dive is on the northern end of the island with stunning corals. At low tide you can dive to the centre which is called Fire Coral Reef. The wall to the east is called Shroud Wall and has beautiful coral formations leading to the edge.
The beach is known as Camp Driftwood and you can spend the day lazing along the beach, kayaking the mangroves or exploring the inter-island areas. There is a freshwater spring at the western entrance to the mangrove creek.
There are no support facilities or services available on the island.
