Isabela Island is the largest of the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Tagus Cove (Caleta Tagus) is a protected cove sheltered by the shoulders of two volcanic craters. Visitors to the cove will sail through the Bolivar Channel and ride beneath the cove’s sheltered cliffs where blue-footed boobies, brown noddies and many other bird species inhabit the lava ledges.
Arriving in Tagus Cove, visitors can disembark and climb a wooden staircase to a trail which passes through the Palo Santo Forests and arrives at Darwin Lake, a perfectly round saltwater crater.

Port Location - The Port of Villamil is located at the south eastern tip of the island.
Transport Links - Flights to the Galapagos are relatively easy to arrange and depart from Quito and Guayaquil on a daily basis for the Isla Baltra airport. About two hours by public transport from Puerto Ayora, the main settlement of the Galapagos, on the main island of Santa Cruz. On arriving into Baltra, all visitors are immediately transported by bus to one of two docks. The first dock is located in a small bay where the boats cruising Galápagos await Passengers. The second is a ferry dock which connects Baltra to the island of Santa Cruz via the Itabaca Channel.
