Piombino is an Italian town and comune in the province of Livorno (Tuscany). It lies on the border between the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, in front of Elba Island and at the northern side of Maremma.
Piombino has an ancient historical center where the fortress of Populonia and the remains of an ancient Etruscan city are located. There are also many other historical buildings, museums and shops for visitors to view.
