Palombaggia is located on the French island of Corsica, approximately 30km northeast of Bonifacio and 10 km south of Porto Vecchio. It is best known for its beautiful beach which is considered the most famous beach in Corsica, and has been voted in the top 10 best beaches in Europe.
The beach at Palombaggia is a beautiful 2 km stretch of powdery golden sand and shallow crystal clear blue water (which deepens gradually). The pink granite headlands that enclose the beach add to the rich variety of colours. The beach faces the archipelago of Cerbicale (attractive uninhabited small islands).
Palombaggia is lifeguarded in season, and offers various water sport facilities. Sea excursions to the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio, Cerbicales Islands and Lavezzi are also available.
