Gemlik is a city in Bursa province of Turkey. It is located at the tip of the Gulf of Gemlik, the southeast branch of the Sea of Marmara. Gemlik is approximately 29km from Bursa not far from Istanbul.
Gemlik Harbour is one of the most important harbours in Turkey. The remains of the ancient Greek town of Kios can be found east of Gemlik. The city is renowned for olives and olive oils.
