Bejaia, Algeria

Bejaia is a Mediterranean port on the Gulf of Béjaïa, capital of Béjaïa Province, northern Algeria. It is one of Algeria's most beautiful cities, situated between the sea, a cape and a mountain. The city itself with narrow streets never making a straight line, always climbing, is simply crowded.

There are few sights around Bejaia, only some mosques and remnants from periods when military defence of the city was totally necessary. The beach of Bejaia is polluted, however not far away from Bejaia are some of the best beaches to be found in Algeria.
