Kalymnos, Greece

Kalymnos is a Greek island and municipality in the south-eastern Aegean Sea. It belongs to the Dodecanese and is located to the west of the peninsula of Bodrum, between the islands of Kos (south, at a distance of 12 Km) and Leros (north, at a distance of less than 2 Km): the latter is linked to it through a series of islets. Kalymnos lies between two to five hours away by sea from Rhodes.

Kalymnos is known for its sunshine, beaches and limestone climbing cliffs. There are four main towns on the island. Pothia is the commercial and civil center while Massouri is the tourist center. Emborios is a picturesque and unspoilt village on the north western coast of the island and Vathi is the small village on the east coast with a beautiful "hidden" harbour.

Each makes several sailings a day, the number depending on the season and trade.
