Tasucu is a small Turkish port town, located west of Mersin, near the city of Silifke. It is known mainly due to being the main Turkish port for ferries to Kyrenia in Cyprus. Tasucu is a pleasant resort town with good accommodations and fine sandy beaches. It is considered a jewel on the beautiful Turkish Mediterranean coast.
Göksu Delta is the main attraction of this area. The Göksu Delta, 14,500 hectares of salt marshes is a bird watcher's paradise , where the Göksu River enters the Mediterranean. With its lakes and sand dunes, its profusion of birds and rare plants, and its sea turtles Loggerhead Caretta and Green Chelonia Mydas.
