Ekincik lies in the south-west of Turkey in a quiet bay enclosed by hills, and only 45 minutes drive from Dalaman airport. There is a unspoiled 2 kilometres long gravel beach and a small harbour from which the boats departs to Dalyan (approx. 45 minutes) The scenery is stunning and there are many opportunities to observe the local wildlife.
The Ekincik region offer several distractions: a cooperative in Ekincik village organises fishing boats; the golden sands of Iztuzu Beach are a breeding ground for sea turtles and a great place to relax; a river-boat trip down the Dalyan river delta visits the ruins of Caunos; the town of Dalyan is overlooked by Lycian tombs carved into the sheer cliff face hundreds of feet up; and the sulphurous mud baths & hot springs here are worth a visit.
