Propriano, Corsica. FR

Propriano is a Port situated in the Valinco Gulf on the French island of Corsica. It is tucked into the narrowest part of the Golfe de Valinco, 57km southeast of Ajaccio and centres on a fine natural harbour. Redeveloped in the 1900s, it now boasts a thriving marina, and handles ferries to Toulon, Marseille and Sardinia.

Tourists come here in droves for the area's beaches. The nearest of these is plage de Lido which lies 1km west, plage de Baracci, 1km north of town and Baracci beach a further 3 km’s. The surrounding forest is also an attraction, as is the Baracci thermal station where you can bathe in the thermal waters. The marina and harbor area is popular, where there are many restaurants and cafes from which to enjoy the views.
