Serifos, Greece

Serifos Island is a magical Cycladic island, situated in the middle of the Aegean sea, only 70 nautical miles from Piraeus port. It boasts numerous sandy beaches and a beautiful capital perched on the top of a steep hill. The rocky coastline is deeply indented with an alteration of coves and bays. The island has a unique atmosphere and attracts many visitors.

Hora, the island's capital with the 15th century Venetian castle, is a beautiful and attractive dazzling white washed village on a steep hillside. Many of the medieval cube shaped houses are now homes for Greek artists and architects. Hora offers breathtaking views and the scenery to the island and the sea is magnificent. The village is divided into two districts, Epano Hora and Kato Hora. In Epano Hora the square with the Town Hall and the churches of Agios Ioannis and Agios Athanassios are places for a visit. In Hora there is also a small Archaeological Museum.
