Alanya is a charming holiday resort on the Turkish Riviera, east of Antalya City. It is a panoramic port city on the southern slopes of the Taurus Mountains surrounded by orange, lemon and banana groves. The relatively moderate Mediterranean climate, natural attractions, and historic heritage makes Alanya a popular destination for tourists.
Alanya has a shipyard from the 12th century Selcuk period, a 9th century castle as well as a choice of beaches at which to enjoy an array of watersports or simply relax and soak up the sun.
